Cinema in the Dark - behind the scenes

Last month, I put on a ‘Cinema in the Dark’ event for the Chester Literature Festival. We turned all the lights off in the Storyhouse cinema so the audience could fully immerse in my three new audio dramas: ‘Imagination Games’, ‘Minibeasts’ and ‘A Copy of Me’.

Here’s a behind the scenes video of us putting the plays together, including footage from the festival. Proof that I can be trusted to work with kids! (Kind of)

As I hope is obvious from the footage, we had a lot of fun making these audio dramas – a big thanks to all those involved and who supported. If you’re yet to have a listen, they can be streamed now on Spotify, YouTube and Apple Podcasts.

And while we’re on the subject of writing for kids, I am currently at the second/third draft stage of my first children’s book, The World Fell Out of My Bum. If you know a young guinea pig (age 9-12) who might be up for having a read and answering a few questions, please get in touch and we can send an advanced copy over for expert critique…

Happy New Year!
