Longlist - Kenneth Branagh Award

My play Minibeasts has been longlisted for the 2018 Kenneth Branagh Award for New Drama Writing.

What does that mean? Well it's been placed in the top 33 scripts from over 300 submitted (from 24 countries!). Ultimately three of those plays will be performed at the Windsor Fringe Festival. The announcement of which three will drop on June 12th...

This is cool anyway but particularly cool for my geek within - I'm a big fan of Branagh's blend of Shakespeare and superhero in 2011's Thor. Interesting fact for those who have recently seen Infinity War: Branagh makes a cameo as the first voice we hear in the film, issuing the distress signal from the Statesman.

Ahem. Anyway. Literature.

Update: My script was not chosen for the Windsor Fringe Festival. Which is fine, because as great as Thor is, last year's Murder on the Orient Express was PAINFUL...
